Developers can utilize the JDBC driver to exchange data between any Java-based application with JDBC connectivity and a 4D Server 2004 database with no programming required.
Full Type 4 JDBC functionality allows the Java developer to flexibly use 4D Server JDBC Driver within servlets or client applets. An extremely small footprint ensures fast applet deployment and application access. The 4D JDBC Driver is based on JDBC 3. In addition to the driver, 4D JDBC also includes the Source Code enabling developers to add their own custom API’s if necessary. The 4D JDBC Driver can run on any platform where a Java Run Time environment is available and can connect to 4D Server 2004 on Windows or Mac OS platforms.
